Meet Uncle Johnny
Uncle Johnny was sweet, stubborn, and hilarious. He was treated like royalty in our family and was no doubt everyone’s favorite. Johnny loved to color, watch TV and practice his karate chop. He was fascinated with Elvis Presley, John Travolta and The Three Stooges. You could often find him copying the words out of the TV Guide for hours on end, while doubling over in laughter at the ridiculous antics of Lucy and Ethel. He loved to sing along to Grease, Wayne Newton and Paverote. Although Johnny remained a bachelor, he was quite the flirt, dubbing all the pretty women, “Blue Eyes,” “Sexy Legs” and “Gorgeous.” Johnny loved to eat and had quite an advanced palette. Some of his favorite delicacies included ho-hos, cornflakes and the occasional glass of champagne. Johnny passed away in 2013 at the age of 53 (although he typically told people he was 35). The Lellow Foundation is committed to honoring Johnny’s life by operating with the same joy that he exhibited, so effortlessly influencing the lives of all who were blessed to know him. |
