Your support allows our current programs to fund essential costs for economically disadvantaged children with special needs.
- For Schools Program Funding: Families spend more than $100 per child on public school provided supply lists. 2022 data shows families spending more than $600 per child on total back to school costs. Teachers report spending $750 per yr of their own money on basic supplies for their classroom and receiving less than $300 from their school to help offset costs. Lellow funds For Schools grants to help Special Education teachers and students in low-income schools.
- Scholarship Program Funding: One hour of intervention with our partner, Lindamood Bell, costs $139.The average recommendation per child is 100 hours, costing families $13,900. The Lellow Foundation funds half of this amount for every approved scholarship. Lindamood Bells covers the other half, completely removing the financial burden from families in need.
- Holiday Drive: Each year, Lellow hosts a holiday drive to provide for families of children with special needs. Our 2021 Drive funded over $10,000 in monetary donations and gifts, making Christmas special for more than 80 children and their families.
